Start with the information you have
Give your location, vehicle type and what happened. You can say the car will not start, a tyre is damaged or a problem occurred while driving. You do not need the technical name of the fault.
Use a recognisable reference
A hotel, place name or road can be a starting point. Include the direction of travel where useful. Do not move to find a better landmark if doing so puts you at risk.
Choose how to communicate
A call lets you explain the situation directly. WhatsApp lets you prepare a message with the problem, location and vehicle details and check it before sending. Tell us your preferred language; the page language does not mean the operator speaks it.
Rental cars and emergencies
For a rental vehicle, check the rental company’s instructions. If there are injuries or immediate danger, contact public emergency services first. A recovery request does not replace their intervention.
In town, on a journey or near the airport
On a motorway, give the direction of travel, exit or landmark without entering traffic. In the mountains, describe the road surface, access and observed weather; do not assume off-road recovery is possible. Near Tirana airport, identify the terminal, parking area and access permissions. Actual location, access and conditions help us assess a suitable option.
Communicating across languages
Prepared messages contain labels in Albanian and your selected language. You can add the model, destination and other details; free text is not automatically translated. Drivers may reply in Albanian and use a translator. If a reply is unclear, ask for clarification before agreeing to a price, destination or service.
